Matieres is a company specializing in decorative mineral renderings, wich it has been creating, making and applying for over 10 years. Today, Matieres is adding to its natural mineral range with an unusual collection of mesh mounted braided stone and has created a marquetry range using coconut and palm wood for use with its clay and lime rendering. The mounted tesserae, whether they be marble, basalt, onyx or jade, palm wood or coconut, reveal the gentleness and depth of the material and confer on walls the relief, roundness and touch of natural stone.

Emois et Bois

Since several years, Emois et Bois favour sustainable management wooden floor in order to preserve the forest richness. Their supply in hardwood and multiply flooring, to a limited number of providers selected, are predominantly French for some, from the western Europe. Finishes are entirely made in their workshop located nearby Paris. The PEFC certification (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) is a control chain that ensured that the products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards. Emois et Bois adhere and participate in this control chain.

Matt Gagnon
Matt Gagnon established the studio in 2002 after working for Frank Gehry and Gaetano Pesce. Gagnon studied architecture at Cornell University and learned the ideal of craftsmanship from his father and grandfather. His work has been featured in over 50 publications including The New York Times, Metropolis, Surface and Interior Design and has been in numerous design exhibitions in the US and Canada. Gagnon was named one of 50 Tastemakers in 2005 by House & Garden magazine. Clients include Diageo, Four Seasons Hotels, W Hotels and Westin Resorts. He has taught at Parsons School of Constructed Environments and has been a visiting artist at Savannah College of Art and Design.
