Les Verreries de Bréhat

The Verreries de Brehat multi-coloured collection is composed of various products such as  : banister finials, doors, windows, cupboards and cabinets knobs, handles, but also curtain rod knobs, which are available in numerous and customized designs and finishes.  From their Studio, which is among the most modern in Europe, they collaborate with some famous designers, and it is toward some glamorous destinations that their creations are now being implemented : Dior booth at Le bon Marché in Paris, The Plaza Athénée Hotel, Bobino theatre in Paris, "le Grand Hôtel" in St Jean de Luz, and in St Jean Cap Ferrat and many more elite locations.

Passage Portes & Poignées
The Doors : If the door has been subject to many architectural researches over the centuries, it has been forgotten in contemporary architecture. According the architects Antoine Adda and David Laredo, that is due to the fact that the door stands at the crossroads of many professions: carpenters, metalworkers and glassmakers, who do not work together as they used to in the past. This is why &ldquoPassage Portes et Poignées&rdquo, since 12 years, positions itself as a coordinator between the different professions to create new models and treat all doors as real projects. As a transitional object, a door defines and organises space, insulates noise and odours but can also protect, hide and provide privacy. Discrete, it slides into the wall to be better forgotten. Silvelox started in business over forty-five years ago creating fine furniture in Castelnuovo, Northern Italy, which is their home to this day. A love of wood, and ground-breaking new ways of using it, have remained at the heart of the business as it has grown over the decades. Today, they still believe in the art of the craftsman, and all their doors are carefully hand finished using time-honoured, traditional methods. But it is a marriage of old and new, because Silvelox operates a policy of continuous innovation and each door incorporates mechanical and electronic elements that are nothing less than state-of-the-art.

Armel Soyer proposes re- harmonizing contemporary design with the arts and crafts, re-injecting ornamentation, detail,  the richness of natural materials and adding poetry to contemporary design along the lines of the most outstanding achievements in the history of decorative arts.  Her ambition is to re-create a dialogue between the art object and its environment, like a 21st century period room.   Her objective is also to re-introduce one-off decors and to accompany specific projects.
