Vannerie Candas

La Vannerie du Boisle is the commercial brand of SAS Vannerie Candas Frères which is based in Le Boisle, a village in Picardy with a few hundred inhabitants near Abbeville and the Bay of the Somme. The basketry activity is ancestral and before 1940 there were about 150 basket weavers active in the town. In 1973, three brothers decided to combine their talents. They took over the activity of the basketry Carton, created in the 1950s, and created the Vannerie Candas Frères, specialized in the manufacture of wicker displays and baskets, and they opened a shop for the sale of their production. The Candas team is constantly innovating. In recent years, she has been working on the combination of wicker and metal to create aesthetic and robust displays: the "Rouille et Or" range, which is regularly enriched with new products, in order to increase the "presentation" potential in a sometimes limited space.
