The artistic Leather Firm of Florence represents an ancient reality of the Tuscany craftsmanship. One of the Firm that at the beginning of the last century (1917) is employed to teach this ancient craft was located on "Lungarni" of Florence, called "Fausti and Marini'. A student of this Artistic Leather Firm "Fausti and Marini," Mr. Romano Rotellini, young craftsman, left the company, where he had studied and worked to found togheter with his wife Fiorella Barni the company "Florentia". The choice of the first seat was ' Lungarni ' in Florence. Working the leather with ancient instruments ,the young Artisan developed a strong artistic side. Due to his fervent creativity and love for the tradition of Leather in Tuscany. For this reason Romano Rotellini receives in 1963 the Diploma ad Honorem from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Some time after fascinated by this craft, which since early adulthood had breathed in their family, the son of Mr. Rotellini, Massimo, joined the company Florentia. In 2001 after great achievements , after the realization of many artistic handmade works ,of art made craft, in full respect of 'Italian Hand Made', Mr Romano and Mrs Fiorella Rotellini received by the Florence Chamber of Commerce (CCIAA)and the Ministry of Industry the name of 'Craftsman Master " ( Maestro Artigiano). Since 2002 under the leadership of young and enterprising craftsman Massimo Rotellini and his wife Elizabeth, the company Florentia now includes more new artistic ideas that conquer the Italian market and the abroad market.The company grows and needs to increase the specialised craft.Currently the Company Florentia has 16 Artisans plus the whole family Rotellini who in the meantime has increased with 4 beautiful grandchildren , children of Massimo and Elisabetta, which already much like the air they breathe at Florentia Company. Today Florentia also for its exclusive decors is a company that is constantly required weather for participation in trade fairs or for exposures in historical Italian museums.At the moment is present with its artefacts, which reproduce Renaissance works at the Museum of The Uffizi in Florence, that is known all over the world . The Florentia is also a member of the consortium 'Centopercento Italiano' ,an association that preserves, since years, the made in Italy with all its history and uniqueness and that guarantee with extreme determination the immense cultural heritage.Just who scrupulously follows the requirements of "Made in Italy' Consortium can be part of it. STYLE AND TRADITION Some of our decorations are fruits of the artistic creativity and love for the history and leather work traditions made in Tuscany. Thanks to the good relationship between Fausti e Marini firm and Mr Romano, he had buy other important ancient stamps, widening our beauty 'treasure' with reproduction of art work of Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Della Robbia, Raffaello' THE 'PATINAS' In the artistic leather goods work is very important the use of patinas, making to made ancient or more light the definition of our leather gifts. The recipe of patinas, made with the experiments tested from Mr Romano and Mr Giancarlo are a gelous secret of our Firm. The use of patina represents an other point of strength and quality in the leather work because of his natural recipes. THE STEP OF AN ARTISTIC CREATION. THE JEWEL BOXES. The Florentia Jewel box are elegant boxes who join the artistic classic style with the perfect utility of an unique gift. Each jewel box reproduces different styles, fruit of the study of the time style and artistic decorations.
